You must have a record for a report to print anything.  Even if you need to print a blank line, you still need a record (even a dummy record) in the report's recordsource for anything to print in the detail section.  Or you can manually draw lines on the page using the line controls in the report designer.  See picture below for an example.  I manually put vertical lines on the page.  They have a fixed length so they always show even when the page is blank.  They are not part of the detail section so they always print.

Thursday's video is going to be how to print one label on a full sheet of labels and to do that I add blank records to a report table you can use the same technique to add blank lines to whatever report you need.
