Linking to Outlook Calendars

I've been working on a hefty database for the company I work for, and I'd like for this database to be able to update calendar appointments on a publicly shared calendar in Outlook. I've been able to successfully view and edit appointments on my personal calendar, but I can't figure out how to link to another shared calendar. My internet searches have been no help. Thank you!

I have not tried this myself, but a quick search of the Google machine returned this: CalendarSharing object (Outlook).

Thank you for replying! I tried the code in the link (I had to add a variable to represent the application object) and I'm getting an Error 429 - ActiveX component can't create object. That may have something to do with our IT department's security permissions.

Also, I noticed that the code looks to me like it is accessing my personal calendar for exporting as an ics file, specifically with the line:

set oFolder = oNamespace.SetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar)

I'm looking for a way to connect to a shared calendar folder from a different mailbox. I can access that shared calendar in Outlook. Is it possible to connect to it via Access?

Thanks again for your help!!

I found some coding for Outlook Namespace:

GetFolderFromID (EntryIDFolder, EntryIDStore)

This looks to me like it would work, but I don't know how to find the FolderID or StoreID for the calendar I'm trying to access.

Sorry for all the posting, but I think I solved my own problem...it looks like our IT department's security policy is preventing me from reaching other calendars through Access.
