Open pdf with Access

Mike, I'm not sure what you mean by "select" PDFs. If you create a field in Access 2010 with the "Attachment" data type, you can store PDFs in that, and simply double-click to open them. For earlier versions of Access, see Richard's Imaging seminar which shows you how to attach any kind of file to your database and open it with a double click. (Also works with 2010.) Very slick. The problem with the attachment data type is that, if you have a lot of attachments, your database quickly balloons in size. If you use Richard's technique (which is much too involved to expain here), you are only linking the files to the database, not embedding them in the database. Only the file names and paths are stored in your database, and so you can attach thousands of files with little effect on the size of the database.
