I tried this several times with the same result each time.  I typed the VBA code into the expression builder and pressed "OK".  I then saw the code in the Before Insert line of the form properties.  Each line is separated by a square box.  I saved the database and closed the properties.


I then went back to form view and tried to add a new record.  I got the following error message:

Microsoft Office Access can't find the macro 'Private Sub Form_BeforeInsert (Cancel As Integer) JobNumber=Nz(DMax("JobNumber", "JobsT"))+1
The macro (or its macro group) doesn't exist, or the macro is new but hasn't been saved.  Note that when uyou enter the macrogroupname.macroname sytax in an argument, you must specify the name the macro's macro group was last saved under.

I am doing something wrong here but I don't know what it is.  I am using Access 2003.  Any suggestions?
