PDF File

I would like to select a pdf file in a Form and automatically go to specific page, i.e. page 27 out of 367 pages.

Can this be done, and if so, how.

The only way I know how to automatically open a PDF at a specific page is via a web browser.  Open a browser such as Firefox and type on the address bar as shown in the picture below: file:///, then the path of your PDF, then #page=N.  The browser will open the PDF on page N.  You can use the VBA command Shell to do this.  E.g.:

     Shell """C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"" ""file:///c:\my documents\sample.pdf#page=2"""

The FollowHyperlink may not work here.

Kevin:

Thanks for you help.  I am using Foxit PDF Reader and apparently the free version does not allow for selection the page as I would like.

Also, I only needed single quoters and the "File:///" was not needed.

Try using a web browser and it will work like I described.  If you use an external program to show PDFs, the user won't care whether it's a web browser or a PDF reader software.
