Greetings,

I have "member form", where we can enter new members and a "service form", where I can checkmark the services we offered to members during each visit.

On the "service form", I have a combo box, to select a member we served for that visit.

However, from the "member form", I'd like to be able to press a button and it open the "service form" in a NewRec, but will automatically assign the name of the member that was on focus without having to manually select it from the dropdown.

This is what I have so far:
Private Sub AddServiceBtn_Click()  
    DoCmd.OpenForm "ServiceRecordF"
    DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
    DoCmd.GoToControl "MemberCmb"
    DoCmd..(I would like Access to update the value of the "member select combobox" on my "service form" to the members record that was on focus from my "member form").

Is there any tip or techhelp video that could help me figure this out. I have been searching for a while. Any help is appreciated.
