For the life of me I cannot seem to get accurate textwidth lengths to format my text box widths appropriately on my report. I need this in order to dynamically set positions and widths of subsequent text boxes. I've verified that all of my fonts are the same type and size (Calibri (Detail), size 11) I'm using the wizhook tool to get the text widths because using just the TextWidth(Me.TextBox) to set the box widths was way off. It works well for most of them but there are a few times it is quite a bit off. If I go to my colleagues computer and run the same report the differences are even greater. As the text width increases there seems to be an ever greater difference in the value Access is calculating to be the width of the text vs what the actual width is. I've tried deducting a small percentage of the calculated width from the text box width but that seems to be calculated inaccurately as well. I cannot figure out how it is calculating the textwidth to save my life. Not being able to figure this out has been frustrating me for a while now.
