I think I build what you need but then for Word documents. Make a Form and put CmdButtons on it with the following VBA code.

    Dim oApp As Object

    'Path to the word document

    LWordDoc = "e:\Actieve DATA\ACCESS Bestanden\Biljarten\WordDocs\1 Inleiding.doc"
    'LWordDoc = "c:\DATA\Biljarten\WordDocs\1 Inleiding.doc"

    If Dir(LWordDoc) = "" Then
        MsgBox "Document not found."
    Else
        'Create an instance of MS Word
        Set oApp = CreateObject(Class:="Word.Application")
        oApp.Visible = True
        'Open the Document
        oApp.Documents.Open filename:=LWordDoc
    End If

End Sub

Just change the Word with your PDF file and programm and you are on your way. Excuse the Dutch language in some of the linecode.
