Although I didn't had any problems yet with both Acc 2002 (XP) and AC 2010 on my computer I want to let you know the following remarks I found in a book called "Access 2010 VBA Programming - inbside out."

Mixed versions of Access: (p-38)
Since Access 2007, you might expierence problems if you are developing with multiple versions of the Office products on a single computer. This is because different versions of the product require different core libraries to be loaded when switching between the versions. Although it is possible to develop with multiple versions on a single computer, it is not recommended, and we would suggest that for all versions prior to Access 2007, you should consider having separate vitual or physical computers. There is a switch over feature to support different versions on a single computer, but you might find that either it takes an unacceptable amount of time to switch or you easily become vulnerable to any issues if library references are not correctly switched over.

As said, so far I didn't expierenced any problems. Hope it's helpfull for you. Maybe Rick can explain how to build/create a virtual computer.
