Hi, New to Access and just signed up ( Gold ) seeing all searching in youtube Richard comes up...lol

Am I missing something.. All the initial videos show putting in data with tables open and Access ribbons showing. Surely all this wants to be hidden in a business environment and say adding a new customer a form is presented to update the customer table?

Apologies if Im jumping the gun as I say Im new and starting from the first videos.

Yes jumping the gun a bit but it's great thinking. You will eventually want to "lock down" your db but not while developing. Richard discusses security and keeping the tables and design away from prying eyes in a number of videos. Most are how to get things done however. Welcome aboard, Bill! Once you get the basics down, the sky is the limit pretty much. The great thing is, you as the developer get to decide how complex or simple to make things. Meanwhile, enjoy the learning path.
