I made 2 simple tables to practice with as I proceed through your lessons(NFL teams table, Team Wins/Losses record table). I created a relationship between the two tables using the Relationships function in the ribbon. Then I created a form which displays the team name, wins, and losses in three text boxes. Works fine as I can scroll through the teams to see each teams win loss record. Next I wanted to build a Search combo box to drop down and select the individual team, and have its win loss record displayed. However, when I start the process and the combo box wizard opens, on the screen with How do you want your combo box to get its values, the option Find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo bos does not appear. Is this because the form is displaying data from two separate linked tables? How can I make this combo box work?

Thank you for the reply. Actually since the time that I posted this question, I found the answer in the Q & A video of Beginner Lesson 2. Creating a Form which has data from two different tables is not recommended. Rather, a query can be created which contains the data of interest from the two tables. and then a form can be created using the query as the source. This works in my example, but the video suggests that this is not always reliable if the data is being changed/updated from the form. In my case, which is a very simple example, I can in fact update the data (team scores), and the update shows on the table.

Ok great, so it seams you got it to work. If you run into any issues I think there are more then enough people here on this forum to help you out. Wish I could say glad I could help you out, but in this case that was not really what happened :-P Enjoy developing, and let the sky be the limit.
