Form Search with Filter

Greetings friends
I have a list Form with search boxes on top (see image) it works perfectly. I also have a filter on this for to initially filter the records to the current "facilityID" from the main menu. and that works perfectly as well.

The problem is if I click on the filter at the bottom of the form to clear the filter to show all "Facilities" my search boxes stop working!

is it me or is it Access?

And if you create a button clearing the filter with VBA, does that give the same result? Something like Me.Filter = "" ?

Your problem is probably that your search fields are filters, and when you click Filtered you are turning the filter off. Try adding Me.FilterOn=True to your search code

The serch fields are Criteria on a query, and I did try the me.filterOn. i think there is a problem with having both methods of filtering. I may try to just use one.
