Evening, I have created an access data base related to training. Within the Form there is a "TrainingTypeCombo" box created (New Hire, Re-fresher, Annual and Retraining). New Hire and Refreshers next training date is 6 months from date completed. Annual training next training date is 1 year from date completed. "DateCompleted" which will default to now(). and I'd like the "NextTrainingDate" to automatically fill. Somehow in the "NextTrainingDate" calculate which type is selected and the "DateCompleted". I've tried VBA in "NextTrainingDate", but I'm not sure of the VBA for dates. I figure it will be a If Else..then or ElseIf...Appreciate your direction.

You'll need an AfterUpdate event to set the dates.

Along with the afterupdate use the Dateadd function in case you have several training classes I recomend a table with the training and set up the certification intervals. Let ssay you have ethecs training every 1 year and defensive driving training every 2 years this will save you haveing to recall the interval. I set my database up this way. I can help if you have problem this is what we are here for.
