I deal with different world currencies and need to get the exchange rate for a country when I Click a command button.  Noy sure how to start the process.  Anyone have an idea on how to do this?

Thanks Kevin.  I'm more interested in using an API to daily get the values with a command button.

You could use a method of getting into from an API as seen in Daylight Saving Time

Hello Alex.  Yes i reviewed that again yesterday.  Looking now to find a API that does not cost if used only a couple times a week.  It seems most Currency API cost a monthly fee and this is only for personal use.

I have just managed few days ago to achieve this in my ms access sandbox :)
Basically I used the above mentioned Richard idea to retrieve data from rest-api. I am connecting to my national bank like Richard did in his video and then process the response with the help of JSON parser which can be easily found on github by googling "JsonConverter.bas". With a little bit of help from chat gpt it is really crazy how easy and smooth it went.

I am using my national bank API and stay with it since it does the job for me. My second bet was EBC but I haven't checked it, maybe it will be usefull for You: https://data.ecb.europa.eu/help/api/overview .

how difficult was it to automate in Access?\
