Very puzzled why this code does not Filter the records in the Form Field: [Company Id] for long Integer Value:  54
NB: the No 54 is derived from other earlier  VBA Code (not relevant for this question)

Private Sub Form_Load ()
Dim ABC As Long
ABC = 54
strFilter As String
strFilter = " [CompanyID] IN (ABC)"
Me.Filter = strFilter
Me.FilterOn = True

------------------------------------------------------------
Note Code Does works perfectly  when strFilter Line above is:
strFilter = " [CompanyID] IN (54)"

I noticed straight away that strFilter is not declared. Make sure you have Option Explicit turned on. Your ABC variable needs to be outside the quotes. Try it like this: `Private Sub Form_Load() Dim ABC As Long, strFilter As String ABC = 54 strFilter = "CompanyID IN (" & ABC & ")" Me.Filter = strFilter Me.FilterOn = True End Sub`

Thanks so much Kevin, you are great. I could not understand why (54) did work but needing (" & ABC .. I actually did have the strFilter declared in the code but forgot to insert in my question above. I just donated into your tip Jar :) If it didnt go thru , lease let me know
