Work Order Questions
Howard Chapell

Richard your WorkOrder System is a perfect start solution for my Son who owns a Marine Related Business specialising in Boat Sales, Servicing and Maintenance. You were also correct in recommending I buy the Seminar to learn techniques otherwise not obvious or even necessarily visible.

My son uses an On-Line Product to save/share Audits done on Boats which also include images of the respective Audit Item. This can then be sent to a Client for their approval of ALL or specific Work/Maintenance/Repairs to be carried out. I have attached a sample Downloaded Audit carried out in December for your reference.

My Question is how would you suggest I go about incorporating this Audit into the WorkOrder System along with all the other Work Orders generated through normal Day to Day Preventative Maintenance, Repairs etc. I can download the Audit CSV into Excel and then Import into Access but I do have to perform some editing such as re linking the images in the Worksheet to reference a Specific SubFolder for each Boat named "Images".

I have currently Created an AuditT Table (AuditID, CustomerID, BoatID, CurrentStatus, Date, Reference) and AuditBoatNameT Table (ID, Item, Title, Assignee, Comments, ImagePath (Hyperlink), DueDate, Completed) for initial testing purposes.

In Addition I would quite like to Automate the Audit Import Process from within Access itself. This is a copy of some of the Data contained in an Audit produced from the Online App "Site Audit Pro" which I wish to Auotomate the import to Access.

Hi Howard. Your duplicate post was deleted. Please don't double-post in the future if you don't get a reply after a couple of days. We see them. We don't always have the time to respond, especially to long and detailed questions. If you want a faster reply, try posting a shorter question that we can read to and reply quickly. That being said, I'll try to take a look over this when I have a few free minutes, but please keep in mind that technical support is not guaranteed. We do the best we can.
