I assume from what you say that it is not possible to put a non-printable label on the screen view of a report.
My problem is that I press a button on the main form to produce the screen view of the report, which, if correct, I then "Save and Publish" as an Acrobat .pdf document.  Only if I have done that do I want to make the entry in a different form from the main form.
I have, at the moment, placed another button on the main form to open the different form to make the entry, but that second step might be forgotten, and it is the carrying out of that step that I would like to remind myself to take.
I am thinking that, perhaps, instead of having a button on the main form to produce the report, I ought to have a button to open the new form in which an entry may need to be made with a button on that to produce the report.

Why don't you open your data entry form, make your entry, and then once that's done, print/export the report? It would be a 1,2,3 process.
