Linking combo box to table
Julie Davis

I entered information into my table directly and it is there fine.  I used my form to enter the rest of the information (63 more records) and what is typed in the combo boxes only shows on the form.  When I go to the table, those two fields are blank.  When I go to my list form, those two fields are blank.  Any idea how I can make the combo boxes also put the information into the table?  Clearly I am missing something despite going back over my lessons.

Watch this: Relational Combo

If you still don't get it after that, let me know.

Thank you very much for trying to help and pointing me to that video.  Unfortunately, that was exactly how I made the combo boxes that seem to be causing the trouble.   Because one of the combo boxes is linked to my authorT (so I have the authorID) and the other is linked to my GroupT (so I have the GroupID), nothing that I enter into my PostF (where the two combo boxes are) gets back to my PostT where my PostListF is linked and thus is leaving blank spaces.  I have decided to just re-enter the info into the PostT manually.  I know it's duplicate work but I realized the number of posts I will have are limited and isn't something that will likely grow.  So it is a finite amount of duplicate entry (only 63 extra entries).  In the end, it took me less time to do that than to try and solve the problem (if there is even a solution at my level of education on this program).  It also frees up your time to help someone else in more need than I am.  Again, thank you for trying to help.  I very much appreciate it and all your videos.
