Error On New Record Field

I re-wrote formulas to give a running sum on every account showing proper results. However, now i have showing in new record field for running sum I have #error showing. Tried placing in IIF function and using iserror function and still get same

Hi David You are most likely dealing with a null in the new record, so your calculation goes crazy. Try the NZ function. John

=IIf(Nz(DSum("TAmount","CheckRegQ","TransactionID <= " & [TransactionID])),Nz(DSum("TAmount","CheckRegQ","TransactionID <= " & [TransactionID])),0)

Try this: `=IIf(IsNull(TransactionID),0,Nz(DSum("TAmount","CheckRegQ","TransactionID <= " & [TransactionID]),0))`

Thanks a lot- Awesome. I tried everything else, but isnull worked. I did a lot of database work in early 90's but was out for along time. Rusty think I'm overthinking things a little.
