Bug with Aptos Font
Adam Schwanz

When typing in a textbox with certain fonts the cursor will lose it's place or it will start adding/removing random characters from the textbox (it's still really there, just the display is bugged). I get this when trying to use Aptos (Detail) size 11, which somehow got set as my default in a new database. Changing it back to Calibri fixes the problem.

Text below is supposed to say
="Logged in as ID " & TempID
you can see how that's going for me

I am like Richard, will avoid using anything new until gentlemen, like yourself, find all the bugs, and then they get fixed.

I'm not being a guinea pig by choice lol. I hate updating, only do it when I'm forced to, stuff is always broken and they aren't paying me to be their QA team lol. I just started a new database and whatever default theme it had picked was using that font. Somebody must have restarted my computer while I was away and kicked off some updates :(.

News to me. I always use old templates for new databases so I haven't experienced this with Aptos yet. I'll play with it. You check the Google machine?

I found "However the number of reports is increasing as the version number gets updated for more users. Although Aptos became the new default in v2308, I believe this issue only started in v2309"

Give it a few days. I'm sure there will be more chatter about it. Another reason why I don't early adopt. LOL

Well, I think that post was from back in October, and my current version is Version 2402, quite a ways from 2309. So I'm gonna say it's not looking good for Aptos LOL

I noticed a bug similar to this, but it only happened when I copied and pasted data from a web page. It turned out to be little hidden characters like CHR(10) or CHR(13) in the string that you couldn't see. So, when I tried to highlight some text, it wasn't highlighting the right characters. I ended up stripping those out and it fixed the problem.

That was from October 2023. I don't think it's fixed.

Are you sure it's not just your system?

It's like that on 2 of my machines so seems unlikely
