db nominated for innovation of the year
Mubeezi Micah

Dear Richard, fellow students,

I used the principles that i learnt from Richard's lessons and i built an Access database. This db, which I named the electronic TB register (eTBR) has been nominated for the innovation of the year award.
Basically, the eTBR helps a health worker looking after TB patients to instantly identify which patients need immediate follow up e.g., those not tested for HIV, or did not come for a scheduled medical check up. Users can also instantly generate graphs and reports of their previous TB program performance, and so much more. This has improved TB patient follow up in our setting (South Sudan and Uganda) where the burden of Tuberculosis is rather high.

Why do i tell u all this?
First, i want to thank u Richard. I remember after watching Access 101 in 2009, i knew i had finally found a great teacher. From that day, rebuilt this db again from scratch. I went on to watch every single Access lesson that you ever produced in order to perfect the db even more. Credit also to my fellow students for your support. I learnt a lot from your posts. Special credit to Alex Hedley. You have helped us a lot.

Second, because of the db usefulness, it was nominated for the TB Innovation of the Year award. You can find details of

this nomination at http://www.newtbdrugs.org/blog/videos/the-electronic-tb-register/
There are 22 other new innovations around the world that were nominated.

Thirdly, voting is open to the public now. We have the highest number of LIKES to date but i believe we can do much more. Voting is easy. You go to the link above. Right under the video window, you will find a Facebook LIKE, Tweet or LinkedIn Share button. Just click on any one of them. You can also write something (optional).
If you happen to watch the video, you will appreciate the principles from the Lesson 13 of Richard's Access Payables seminar.

Lastly, i really need your vote. Remember to click the like button!

Thank you in advance!

MICAH

Reply from Richard Rost:

Micah, that is AWESOME. Congratulations. I tried following the link you provided, but received a "not found" error from the web server.
