Form asking for Parameter V

I have MasterT. I created query StevenQ using 4 fields from MasterT. Query works. I created Form StevenF (using Form Design) with property source "StevenQ". When I open StevenF, I get dialog box asking for parameter for "Enter Parameter V... for "MasterT.ID" If I click OK without entering a value, the form works. Why am I being ask for  "MasterT.ID?" I don't have a field with that name. I don't know what "MasterT.ID" means. How do I fix this?

If I click "OK" without entering a Parameter, the form works. I have no idea what PNC_Master_01T.ID is. I have uploaded 2 screenshots. PS, I understand Parameters queries. Thanks for the Parameter video.

Check your form. It is on it. That is why Access is asking you for its value.

And it is not on your Query.

We can't see the whole query. Either slide the pic to the right so we can see the rest of the columns, or show us the SQL view. Do you have any query parameters specified using the "Query Parameters" dialog? I just realized I haven't done a video on this yet. One is coming shortly.

Try adding the ID to the Query.

That's definitely a weird one. Let's see the SQL for it.

Try with Kevin said and make sure you add the ID to the query output Fields itself. We'll see if that fixes it. Also, I know this sounds silly but double-check and make sure that's actually a table. I've had people before that have accidentally named queries with 'T' on the end of it, and that causes all kinds of problems if you think it's a table and it's really a query.

I added the ID field to the query and that solved the problem. The form works as expected. Why do I need the ID in the query when it is not used in the form?

A million thanks to everyone for assisting in this head scratcher. Please check the tip jar.

Does the query give you that parameter prompt if you JUST run the query without the form?

If not, then the form is asking for it somewhere... a filter or an orderby perhaps?

This is getting weird. I created a new form from scratch using the query containing the ID field. Form did not request parameter value. I removed the ID field from the query, and ran the form. It requested the parameter value.

Well if you created a new form based on that query while it had the ID in it, the field would have been added to the form's RecordSource property - most likely.

You have gone above and beyond in helping me. I am going to file this under "Go Figure". Let's close this issue.
