table search function

I have set up a client table which suite my needs. When I use the "search" feature that appears at the bottom of the table it searches anywhere in the records for a match. Is there any way to restrict it's search to a single field, like just search in "last name" ?

Inside of a table? You'd have to select a column and filter with it. In a form though, there are multiple options

I'd like to work inside the table - just restrict the search to a particular column

For personal use that's fine, although it's more of an excel spreadsheet than a database, I wouldn't recommend playing in the tables or allowing others into the tables if this is a business database though.

But like I said, there's no way to use that "search" at the bottom inside of a table single column. The only option is to right click on the column name inside of the table and then use a filter or use "Find". Which can look for a word in a certain field

CTRL-F pulls up the same find function that Adam pointed out.
Don't forget to select match: "Any Part of Field" if that is what you are doing.
