copy multiple records with sub

Richard, in Developer 24 we see how we can copy 1 record on a form with its subform and copy it at the bottom into a new record.
Now I have various subdivisions of cabinet modules that keep coming back where some fields need to be adjusted. This is about hundreds of records. It would be a waste of time to enter all these characters again as only a few pieces of data need to be changed each time. My intention would be to copy, for example, 150 records specifying which numbers and paste them back underneath to make some adjustments here and there so that I don't have to enter everything back. The intention is that I would say copy the recordsID, for example from 152 to 300 and paste it back at the bottom, then I could request it with a query and adjust the necessary data on these requested records. Is this possible or is there another much better way to achieve this.

Yeah, certainly possible. You can do it with a query or a recordset loop, or you might just find it easier to copy all the items and delete the ones you don't need if it's only a few. Lots of different ways you can do this.

It's really just applying the recordset lessons that you've learned.

ok, first learn to crawl, then walk and then run :)... advantages and disadvantages of when you have to make something at work and you don't have the knowledge about it yet. They will have to be patient. Everything will be fine, but it will take a while, practice makes perfect, with some help from the forum every now and then :)

To copy one order, you take a record set for the order and then use a record set loop to loop through the items. The whole process will allow you to do a bunch of orders. You would just need to make two records that loop; one to go through the orders, and the second one to loop through the details on each order as you go through it. I'm sure with a little practice, you'll get it. If you can't, let me know.
