ComboBox Property Question

I've been following the association 4 video and when I try to have the head or the family added to the form, it tells me that "Value isn't valid for this field. I select the person and it only wants numbers.

Most likely your combo box is configured incorrectly. The first field in the combo box must be the PersonID, not the name, because that is what is linked to the table underneath. Most likely you have the name as the first field, and Access is trying to put a text field on top of a numeric field.
