Strange message

When trying to open an Access DATABASE at work (some computers that are connected to the same network) some people get the following message" "Microsoft Access can't change the working directory to 'H:\My Documents". Verify that the drive is valid and the path is 260 characters or less in length." There's only an OK button on the message.
When they press OK it goes away and the database is working. What is happening?

That error is the default database folder. Go to File->Options->General I'm guessing the "Default database folder" is a location that not everyone has access to.

File>Option>General, what drive should be in that box "default database folder"? If I am using Access Updater, should the default be the user's Front-End? The copy that I distribute?

The default database folder setting shouldn't matter. That's where new databases are created by default. What matters is that they are running their front-end out of a Trusted Location and that they have FULL read/write access to whatever folder the back-end ACCDB file is in with the tables. It sounds to me like you're trying to ChDir to that H:\My Documents folder somewhere in your code. You shouldn't be changing their working directory.
