Hi, I am using MS Access 2003.

I am using code found on the internet similar to that below. My INSERT INTO statement has about 20 values. I use the MsgBox strSQL to look at the string before executing it. Once executed no error message returns but there is no record written away to the table. When I reduce the the number of values by half to 10, a record is written away. I need to insert the full 20 though

Any idea why this is happening?

Why are you using DAO? Just use DoCmd.RunSQL for this. You don't need a Recordset. As far as the statement not working for 20, but working for 10 records, I'd have to see your data. Perhaps you have a value that's not right (Null, empty?) or too long for the field? I can't tell without more information.
