Track Changes on Imported Data

I am trying to build an access database that stores the history from another database.  The other database is live and doesn't store history.  It is a constant export of spreadsheets and it's quite a nightmare.  Is there a way to track changes of a PO Value without having to store the history of every single purchase order?  Can I import a spreadsheet and tell Access to only keep new purchase orders and to change only the ones that has new values and to let me know which ones are new and which ones have changed?  Currently, I am using a "data date" as the export date and using a pivot table with conditional formatting in Excel to find what changed.

Hi Mandy

This video should help you

Log Changes to Tables

Thank you.  I did use that to find changes but I'm looking for something like this:

exiting data:
PO 1 - $100
PO 2 - $50

new data to be imported:
PO 1 - $100
PO 2 - $100
PO 3 - $30
PO 4 - $50

How do I tell Access to leave PO 1 alone, change the value of PO 2, and keep POs 3 and 4 and let me know what changes it kept?

I know it's possible by keeping all history of all purchase orders but it would be nice to only keep the changes.

The main goal is to keep a log of all PO changes.

Thank you.

That's supposed to say "existing data" not "exiting."
