Calendar Seminar Question
John Campbell

Quick question on the calendar report (Seminar).

I got it to work, but in the video #9, you copy all the list boxes from the form to the report.  When you preview the report, all the unbound date fields suddenly worked with the correct dates.

How is this happening as there is no default date for those controls like there is on the form? None of the VBA code transfers to the report when you copy and past the days into the unbound report.

Does this make sense?

Thanks

If memory serves aren't they getting the default starting date from the main menu form?

That is what I thought, but the text box property on a report has no default value.  The default value is on a text box of a form. So the bizzarro world is that somehow the report controls are referencing the default values from the form.  Again, if you look at video 9 of the seminar, you copy all the list boxes from the form, but there is no reference in the video how they are magically being done on the report.  I found a work around as i needed to because I have created a calendar that has 6 months.  I have created a report with 6 sub reports, with each report showing a month at a time.

I'll look into it when I get a few free minutes.

I believe the controls were copied from the Form and pasted into the Report.

Yes, they were copied to the report.  But no where on the report is it referencing those controls.  As noted, the form controls have a default value.  That goes away on the report, but yet some how the report figures it out for each day on the calendar.
