We currently use CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application") to open IE from Access and pass a URL in code.

Is it possible to not limit the user to IE but rather use their default browser? Lots of folks now are using other browsers.

Use the ShellExecute function. Just declare this function in a global module (or even at the top of your form if you only plan to use it in one place):

Now you can call it from anywhere to launch a web page in the user's default browser:
