A scam it is not.  
It is a useful, but slightly expensive, instruction tool on Access.  I first used Mr Rost’s highly instructive lessons in March 2011, and by now I have spent in excess of $1,300.  The Access 300 series was my introduction (some $500), and I then progressed to a Seminar on AccPayables  Followed by the Access 200 series in May 2011.  As I believed I was reasonably proficient in Access I never acquired the 100 series, although I have now (2012) bought the Access 2010 Beginner series.  In the interim I purchased seminars on Calendar, SQL, AccWebSync and AccWorkOrder.
Mr Rost has a well designed method of delivering his instructions and is very helpful in dealing with any enquiries, and far surpasses anything other than attendance at a lecture in a classroom.  It almost feels like one-to-one instruction, and it has the advantage that it can be followed at the time of your own choosing.  
My only gripe is that his delivery is a somewhat monotone, which encourages drowsiness, but, of course, elements can be repeated as often as necessary.
I say slightly expensive, although if what is taught were to be taught in a classroom I would expect the charge to be some five times higher with the inconvenience of being unable to repeat or attend at a time of your choosing.
I suggest that you ought to sample first, and then, and only then, reach an informed conclusion.

Thanks, David. Yes, I agree that some of my older Access 2003 classes lacked vocal enthusiasm... but I've tried to be a little more energetic in my newer lessons. :)
