Odd problem

Is it possible to lock the content in one table? For some reason when the user remotely uses my database through RDP one particular field which is named "Bank" will change to the number "2" when the user tries to search the database for other categories. It's very odd and strange, I was thinking if i locked the  table that would take care of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure what your trying to do but you can control it from the form look at property play with them and change them with VBA to lock n unlock.

How is remote user accessing your data -thru a form or through the table?

Is he RDP'ing into his own profile with his own virtual desktop and his own separate copy of the front-end ACCDB file? If you're sharing an ACCDB file that can cause all kinds of problems.

Juan- i am trying to prevent a row in one of my tables used for a combo box from being arbitrarily changed.
Dave - The data is being accessed through a form
Richard- the user is using his own profile and desktop and the only one using the database, not sharing

I tried locking the combo box in the properties however it renders the combo box unusable. The user can't select anything in the combo box.

One thing i failed to mention, he is using a MAC to remote the database.
