Sami I don't think Richard has covered any of the MS Access Built in templates.

David I presume it's Use the Contacts Access Database template?
Can you not edit the form and look into how it's done?

I think the Map Location the Richard has a video for works differently than the one in the Microsoft Contact Management Database. I have looked at how it was built, but as of yet, I can not understand how they did it. In that database, there is a Click To Map button on the Contact Details Form that when clicked, takes you to Bing maps using the current address in the Contacts Form. It uses a Macro, I think, but I don't know how they programmed it. I tried coping and pasting that control in the form that I have made, using all the same data, but can't get it to work.

I think that feature is kinda cool, just don't know how to build it.
Thank you!

If you edit the macro what steps does it include?

You could share a screenshot (videos aren't allowed as uploads here)

Here a some screenshots of the macros design view. I hope this helps. I am not sure if the Search Macro has much to do with the Click To Map button, but I am still very much in the learning phase for all this.
Thank you.

The first picture is the AutoExec Macro. The Second picture is the MapMod Macro/Function. The third and fourth are the Search Macro.

Do you understand what the OpenMap Function is doing?

I don't really understand it. I can't figure out how to trigger the button in the form I have made. I know I have missed something, I just don't know what.
If you or Richard could maybe take a look at it, I am quite sure you would know what is hapeneing in that database.

What I think it does, is it takes the data in the current record and does a search within Bing Maps, and takes you to that result. I just haven't figured out how they programmed it. I can see the Funtion code for the search, I just cant make it work in my database.

The Internet URL of those maps usually contains the address verbatim (see picture below).  And that is how Access can open up a map and show the specific address, by simply composing the Internet URL using string concatenation, then open the URL with FollowHyperlink.

It's basically doing what I show in my video.
