How come when I insert pictures exactly the way your "599 Tutorial Tip: How to Use Images and OLE objects in your Database", I get an icon and not the actual picture? I made sure my design table is OLE Object, and I did not "link" or check the "icon" box when inserting image.

This all depends on what image editing software is installed on your PC. Try using images in the bitmap (BMP) format. Those are the most compatible.
