Query Results
Samantha Waterman

Hello!
I was hoping I could get some insight or some help on what I'm doing wrong with this query! I made a query for a report to give me all of the information for a customer ' customers have orders and events we'll say.
Ex: Picard has 2 orders and 1 event 'the query I made gives me all of the information I need except it duplicates it! Watched all the videos I could on Null values, And or Or, the recent ones about an extra query for criteria and a few more but I keep getting duplicate information! So, as in the example I started, the query should give me results like this, correct?

Customer Info:Orders:Events:
PicardOrder1
PicardOrder2
PicardEvent1
But instead it gives me:
PicardOrder1Event1
PicardOrder2Event1

Hopefully that makes sense and is even enough information to evaluate??! Any help or even just some insight into what I'm doing wrong is much appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Samantha
I would approach this differently,

I will have:
1- a master report bound to the Customer table.
2- a Sub report bound to order table.
3- a sub report bound to contact table.

I will imbed the two sub reports in the master report.

I have many reports set up this way.

The master / child field property of the subforums will take care if getting the correct data (Linked on CustomerID)

Thank you Sami! I may have to try it that way instead because this query is driving me nuts! Lol! Much appreciated!

I recently had to build a report exactly like you just described Sami
I was getting data from about 5 different sources and that was the only way I could group them the way I wanted to see them.
I had to manually set the Link Master/Child properties in the Subreports as they didn't automatically get the link like Subforms do. Perhaps that was because I had to build some complex Queries to feed the Subreports.
