I loved the Tip on "Prevent Duplicate Values on Multiple Fields". I downloaded the example file and tried it out. The example file works great with number data type fields, but soon as I change the Data Type of the fields to text, the code stops working.
I'm looking for a way to Prevent Duplicate text on Multiple Fields. Let say that I have a Person ID column, first mane column and last name column. The Person ID is an auto number, and first and last manes are text. I would like to prevent entering the same person twice (in two different records). It's OK to have few persons with the same first or last mane but not both.
I as Richard mentioned, it is possible doing it with multiple key fields with duplicates OK, but with the example file from Richard tip, it is easy to create message box the indicate what's wrong.
