For once-in-a-while tasks, you could just export to Excel and bring it back again. See Transpose Data.
Crosstab queries are OK, but if this is something you do on a regular basis, you'd need a custom VBA function to handle it for you. I'll add it to the list. :)

After transposing, you still have to worry about what column names to give to the rows' data -- because only columns have names, rows don't.
