Not adding up

I have a query, which adds up the number of adults and children seen by month which works perfectly OK. I then tried to create a field which added the number of adults and children together for each month but it doesn't add up correctly - see result of query. I have added August manually and the 13 adults is correct and 9 children is correct but the total is incorrect. Any suggestions please

Create a second Query and add your TotalSeen calculation to that Query. Also, If you look at the field names since they are part of an Aggregate Query, Access has prefixed them with 'SumOf'. I would Alias those fields.

Thanks again Kevin. I subsequently found that there were some blank spaces in the fields rather than a zero and once that was corrected it added up perfectly OK.
