Just built a new Form with three different modes:
    - View Mode
    - Add Mode
    - Edit Mode

Let me know what you think.

Is this 4 separate forms or 1 form that changes colors / Various text etc. based on the class of the user.  In any case cool.

It is one Form (unbound) changed dynamically in code.

I'm with Sami, I like both the concept and the look. Are you sharing the databse?

Possibly. It's part of my 'Database Planner' database.

I use locked, borderless textboxes with transparent background to indicate view-only data to the user.  When the user enters "Edit" mode, I unlock the textboxes, enable their borders, and make their background color white to indicate editability (see picture below).  Nearly all the controls have to be contextual depending on what "state" the form is in.  For instance, if the user is editing a record, he cannot switch to view mode or add a new record, so those buttons have to be disabled.  He has to cancel the edit, then add new or view.  That could be tough to code if the form is complex.

Thanks Kevin. I made both the Back Style and Border Style to transparent when in View Mode :)
