You could create a query that shows all Students with a birthday 1/2 days ahead.

ID FullName DOB
1 Joe Bloggs 21/10/1980
2 Fred Smith 20/10/1986
3 Sue Jones 21/11/2012
4 Rich Rost 01/01/2000
5 Mr Database 19/10/1980

i.e
SELECT *
FROM StudentT
WHERE (((Day([DOB]))<=Day(Now())+2) AND ((Month([DOB]))=Month(Now())));

QUERY RESULTS
ID FullName DOB
1 Joe Bloggs 21/10/1980
2 Fred Smith 20/10/1986
5 Mr Database 19/10/1980

Now you can just create a Subform or set a Listbox to that query and have it show on your Main Menu Form or wherever you will see it often.

It uses the Day() and Month() functions with return the Day/Month of a given Date. We don't need to know the Year as that doesn't matter and we are checking if it matches Today's Day/Month using the Now() function, (this could also be Date() instead)
I've used "<= # +2" to catch a couple of days.

You will need to use the name of the table you have the Students in (StudentT) and the Field you have used to store their Date of Birth (DOB)
