Single field changing randomly
Redina Hibbs

I have a single field in one of my tables [Products] that keeps changing to a number (first a 6 and now a 1). It's supposed to be "Whole Milk" and I've changed it back multiple times and then I completely rebuilt the table itself. Its still doing it. I don't know why its doing it and I've got a lot of data already entered to have to completely rebuild the whole database!

Do you have a Combo Box on a Form that's changing the value? Sounds like it may be changing the value in the wrong table.

I've checked and I have as of yet found a combo box that could be changing it. And it's only the Whole Milk, no other record is being changed!

is Whole Milk's ID = 1?

Yes it is. Sometimes Whole Milk will change to a 6 as well. I've tried to work out when it does it to see if I can isolate the combo box or code that could be change it but I'll work for an hour and nothing and then boom, it suddenly changes.

Please upload images of whatever is setting this value: Combo Box (including Row Source), Macro/VBA
Just showing the Table won't help us to diagnose the issue.

Please follow Kevin's advice above.
This usually happens when the following conditions are present:
1) The form is bound to the Table containing that ID.
2) A field with that ID is on the form.
3) A combobox that returns the value of that ID has its Control Source as that ID
