hi, i keep getting a white space between my records in the report while i colored the text boxes gray, pulled all fields to the top and pulled the section completely closed to the top. see attachment, i get white lines everywhere. Anyone an idea how i can get rid of this ??

Check the column widths too

It might be the borders. Check the Border Color and Border Width properties.

Also check the padding on the fields. An easy way to find out what's happening, create a new report from blank and just add those fields and see if you get the same results if you do something in your setup if you don't then check the original report for what Alex and I have suggested

Kevin, I set the Border Color to color and now I still have a tiny white line, so that helps. Where do I find the Widh properties.... there is something somewhere that gives that tiny line. I also set the margin to 0.

It looks like you have a vertical line that is taller than other controls. Make sure everything is the same height, with nothing taller (or shorter) than everything else in the detail section.
