I have a question that's been bothering me for a while now.

How do you see if one row is equal to another row using the IIF Statement in an Access query?

Example: In Excel using an IF statement IF(A1=A2,1,"")

Access behaves much differently than Excel. In Excel you can reference a specific piece of data in a specific row and column, which would be the equivalent of a record and field in Access. You'd need to use a domain lookup function like DLOOKUP in order to get that specific bit of data in Access.

X = DLOOKUP("FirstName","CustomerT","CustomerID=1234")
Y = DLOOKUP("FirstName","CustomerT","CustomerID=5678")

Then you could compare X and Y to see if they're equal.
