Unassigned Employees
Stephen T

Imagine I have a peg board with holes that represents duty posts that must be staffed. I then have pegs that represent employees. Some pegs have regular holes that they go to every day (employees with regular assignment). My pile of pegs is reduced by the ones that are assigned. As I select pegs to place in holes, the pile is reducing in size. I don't have to look through 100 pegs each time I fill a hole because the pile of pegs is being reduced. This is what I am trying to do. Please pardon my "cave man" thinking. :-)

Reply from Richard Rost:

How about a form with two listboxes on it. One could show tasks and the second staff members. Pick one from each listbox then use a button to insert the combination of those two into a table. Then requery the listboxes and those options go away. You'd need a little tiny bit of VBA code (about 5 lines) with an SQL INSERT statement.

I can't think of an easy way to do this WITHOUT a little programming. It would make a neat little TIP video... maybe I'll add it to my list.
