Hi Richard,
I have a field with my studentID with auto number. I have 1350 students but the studentID fields has exceeded 1400(may be by wrong entry or hitting a key in new form or queries. I deleted the blank  rooms in the table from 1360 to 1410. Now when I add new students, the StudentID start from 1411. What should I do that student ID start from 1361 and so on.
Please let me know.

You can't. Once those Autonumbers are used (even if the records are deleted) you can't get them back. There is an exception... but it's a trick. If you delete the records at the end of a table and COMPACT your database, Access will USUALLY reissue those Autonumbers.
