How can I prevent special character in a text field.
I have an Access database with a notes field and sometimes when text is entered they inadvertently include a special character which causes problems. How can I validate the input as they type to insure on a-z 0-9 and punctuation characters are entered in the field. I have tried validation rules on the field on a form but nothing seems to work.

Filter Characters

the FilterCharacters works to remove unwanted characters, but it also removes the new line functions. I tried adding Chr(13) and Chr(10) to the string, but it still removed the end of line functions.
