SelStart SelLength
Scott Adkins

14 years ago
Does anyone know if you can set the position of the cursor in an unbound textbox?

If not, is there a way to set the control source with VBA code because I know that [Field].SelStart=[Field].SelLength.

Now the SelLength is able to return the number of charectures, but will not position the cursor at the end of the string. Thanks again

Reply from Richard Rost:

You can set the cursor position in ANY text box with SelStart. If you have a control called City, you can say:

    City.SetFocus
    City.SelStart = 3
    City.SelLength = 0

This moves to the City control, puts the cursor after the 3rd character, and doesn't select any of them. This works whether the control is bound or unbound.
