Payments

I have a payment form, PaymentF, and my sales form, SaleF. When I click Record Payment on SaleF, it opens PaymentF. I enter the payment amount and click Apply. The payment is then recorded in unbound field Payment in SaleF. So far, so good, but there are a couple problems. Even if I hit the CalculateTotals button, which requeries the SaleF, the payment field is blank when I close and re-open the form to the same sale record, through a button on ClientF. My first question (and the more important, is how do I get the payment to stick? The second wuestion is, once that's solved, how do I make it mark IsPaid on SaleF and fill PaidDate with Date()?

I'm in the middle of Expert level, but I have gone through VBA Basics, so I'm not completely unfamiliar with the concepts.

If it's unbound, it won't stick. Should it be unbound is my first question?

If so, there are other ways to make it show up there, like Default Value or Value From a Form

Thank you for solving Part 1. I don't remember why it was unbound. Binding to a Payment field in SaleT fixed that. Any ideas on Part 2?

Just set the value when the button is pressed or however you want to do it.
IsPaid=True
PaidDate=Date()

If they are on 2 seperate forms, that Value From a Form video will show you how to interact with it.
Something like Forms!MyFormName!IsPaid=True
