Multiple Contacts in One Company

Richard, in the early tutorials you've showed how to tie in Customer (my database is Company) with Contacts.  I'm currently having a problem understanding how to associate multiple customers or contacts with the same Company, and not just limit for example (Suzi Jones, or Anna Picore with the Company)  What's the best way to create the relationship, knowing I'd like to associate Anna's, phone records, letters, invoices, Purchase orders or transmittals directly to her only, with never needing to retype company information for each employee.  I hope that make sense.

Reply from Richard Rost:

In this case you would have multiple tables: CompanyT, PersonT, ContactT, OrderT.

I would set up CompanyT to PersonT as a 1-to-many relationship.

Then you could link the other tables to PersonT instead of CompanyT.

CompanyT 1-to-M PersonT
PersonT 1-to-M ContactT
PersonT 1-to-M OrderT

You could still generate a list of which people belonged to each company, but their contacts, orders, phone numbers, etc. would all be unique to the individual.

That's why you build your own database... you set up the data structure however it best works for YOU.
