My issue is that I have tables collecting information that we all have doing, my issue that I seem to always run into is that I collect the information into the table and the information that is being stored are ID's, but when I run a report I dont want the id's I want the Description or Name (such as CategoryID = 2 (in Table) but I want FG, RG, Etc.) How do I get the text to display when I create a report for printing, but still have the functionality of the ID for seraching and referencing?

Make a QUERY. Link the two tables together with a JOIN. Then bring in the fields you want to see on the report.

For example, if you have Customers and Orders. Bring them both into your query. Link them based on CustomerID (which should also be in your Orders table). Base the report on this query. Now you can display information from either table on your report.
